The MD Helicopters MD 500 series is an American family of light utility civilian and military helicopters. The MD 500 was developed from the Hughes 500, a civilian version of the US Army's OH-6A Cayuse/Loach. The series currently includes the MD 500E, MD 520N, and MD 530F.
MD Helicopters, Inc. delivered a new MD 520N helicopter to the Burbank and Glendale Police Joint Air Support Unit located in the state of California. With this delivery, Burbank and Glendale will own four (4) MD 520N helicopters. Joining the MDHI team at the Company’s Mesa, Arizona headquarters were Lt. Stewart Brackin and Sgt. Rich Phillips, Glendale Police Department; Captain Mike Albanese and Pilot Steve Conaway, Burbank Police Department; and Rich Weiser, Director of Maintenance, Glendale/Burbank Police Air Support.
